Qigong Foundations is an exploration & inquiry into the body’s innate intelligence through Qigong movements. The intention for this workshop is to establish a solid foundation and basic understanding of this ancient movement & healing art, so you can seamlessly incorporate it into your life.
Qigong — sometimes called The Art of Effortless Power — has been practiced for thousands of years in the Far East with tremendous healing and regenerative benefits. Qigong literally translates to ‘life energy cultivation’ (qi is similar to the yogic concept/force of prana). It is a transformative physical, mental and emotional practice, which incorporates flowing movements to sharpen our focus, cultivate inner strength and find equanimity.
Qigong is known to help improve somatic intelligence, create a more balanced & resilient nervous system and improve coordination, circulation and vitality. Discovering qi can enhance your already established movement practice or inspire a new passion for body awareness and energy cultivation.
Our overall goal is to access & illuminate the core competencies of human motion, increase mobility and become more agile.
Qigong Foundations will be held on June 30th & August 18th (Each part is 2 hours and you can take one or both — they are not dependent on each other).
